P10104802.jpgYou may ask – so what is the Grail Message? Is it important to me and my life?

Abd-ru-shin was born in Saxony in 1875 on April 18th. He was christened Oskar Ernst Bernhardt. Between 1923 and 1937 Abd-ru-shin wrote 168 essays which he assembled to form the book “In the Light of Truth” The Grail Message. This is a book which describes the most important connections within Creation. It does not bring a new religion but speaks only to the individual regardless of his nationality or his creed. Among all writings and books of spiritual content this has a unique place. It gives us an explanation of the World and offers us the opportunity …

“… to fill the gaps which so far have always remained unanswered in the souls of men as burning questions, and which never leave any serious thinker in peace, if he honestly seeks the Truth.”

It is the author’s declared intention to lead people back to God. And it is the individual whom the book addresses for it is the individual alone who is responsible for their every thought, word and deed.

This is the same message that Jesus Christ brought to earth as he tried to lead us back to God but rather than the use of parables it has been put into a language for today’s intellectual.

Christmas - what is the significance of this time?

The coming of Jesus Christ to earth occurred at a time when humanity was going astray.  This was despite God sending spiritual guides such as Buddha, Zoroaster and Lao-Tse and the prophets such as Isaiah and Jeremiah. Mankind has forgotten the enormity of this happening.

Jesus was born as a result of many prayers to God for help at a time when mankind was going astray and the knowledge of the laws handed down to Moses were being distorted. It was an act of Love that few of us recognise today.  We celebrate this event at Christmas. Jesus was born among the Hebrew people as they had the deepest knowledge of God. At the time some people became clairaudient and clairvoyant and were a witness to the great Star of Bethlehem which heralded his birth.

There are many distortions about Christ's birth. The virgin birth refers to a woman who is having a first child and a birth must naturally be preceded by procreation. The fact that Joseph was not his natural father is alluded to in the scriptures of Mark and Matthew. Jesus was hounded thoughout his Mission by the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the Essenes and was eventually unanimously condemned to death by the Great Sanhedrin.

It is because of mankind's sin that the Saviour came to earth and he did die because of the guilt of humanity. He came to bring Light to mankind and vanquish the Darkness. But unlike what so many believe this does not mean that a person's sins have been taken away. These must be redeemed by living according to the words of Jesus. And this is not immediate but happens over time. All people are subject to the Truth that Christ brought to earth - not just Christians. If a person strives after truth and purity he will be led spiritually  upwards.

So at Christmas this year spare a thought for what this time really means. The gifts that people exchange remind us of the gifts brought to the Christ child by the three wise men who were led to him but his birth was far more than this. He was the Christ, the anointed of the Lord, the Son of God.
